What are the Shared Socioeconomic Pathways (SSPs)?

The SSPs are five socioeconomic scenarios created by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) to describe potential political, economic, and environmental development paths and their impact on climate change. These scenarios range from sustainability-focused trajectories to fossil-fueled development pathways, providing a comprehensive view of future possibilities.
